Architect Stephen Kay has recently completed a beautiful renovation of this little gem. It has just been named for the second year in a row one of the Top Short Courses in America by Golf Range Magazine
Mosholu Golf Course is a challenging course because the tree-lined fairways are narrow, and the medium-sized greens are fast. There are several blind fairways in the design, and the rolling terrain can produce hilly lies. There's virtually no water on the course and very few sand bunkers. This course plays very long for a beginner and can be an intimidating place to learn the sport. There are an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an eighteen-hole round.
Yardage: 6382/5382 (9-hole double tee), Par: 71/70, Rating/ Slope: 70.5/124; 76.2/133
The golf course is easily accessible by MTA subway.
